Grave Matters: Excavating California's Buried Past
Retired Professor Tony Platt's son Daniel lived and died in Chico. Before his death Daniel requested a "Viking funeral". When Professor Platt scattered his son's ashes into the ocean he took a close look at the area where the family had had a cabin on the coast. The result is his latest book Grave Matters which is a history of the treatment of Native American remains in California.
