Shawtel Newton grew up in Chico, the daughter of funeral home owner Ric Newton. She recounts how she came to appreciate the work her father did, and was inspired to study Mortuary Science and become a funeral director and embalmer herself. She appeared on the reality TV show "The Bachelor."
