Chico State writing instructor Phil Coppock collaborated with Mrs. Bower's 4th grade class at Chico Country Day School to write a story about a little boy who wakes up one morning to find things bouncing.  Through writing this story students learned to recognize and use figurative language.

Medical journalist Michael Castleman and his coauthor Amy Lanou, PhD, looked at over 1200 osteoporosis studies to conclude that milk and calcium supplements do not prevent osteoporosis, and drugs can be dangerous. Their answer: a low-acid diet (lots of vegetables and fruits) and walking.
